What is allowed, what is not, and how we enforce it.
1. Principles
Zumi is built for creators. Enforcement is graded, evidence-linked and appealable, but safety limits are absolute: the categories in the Prohibited and Restricted Content and Activities policy are removed on detection and reported where the law requires it.
2. Not allowed
- Any sexual content involving minors, or any sexualisation of a minor. Detected material is removed, the account terminated and the case reported to the authorities.
- Non-consensual sexual content, intimate images shared without consent, and pornography.
- Threats, incitement to violence, terrorist or violent-extremist material, and organised hate against protected characteristics.
- Sale or promotion of weapons, illegal drugs, prescription medicine, counterfeit goods, stolen data or documents.
- Financial scams, investment fraud, pyramid and Ponzi schemes, money-flipping, gambling and unlicensed lotteries.
- Impersonation, coordinated inauthentic behaviour, engagement or follower purchase, and bot activity.
- Using gifts to pay for anything outside the app, including adult services, goods, or to move money between people.
3. Enforcement ladder
- Step 1: content removed or its reach reduced, with a notice explaining which rule and which post.
- Step 2: a temporary feature restriction, time-limited and automatically lifted.
- Step 3: suspension, only after human review.
- Immediate termination for illegal content, child safety breaches, or fraud against the payment system.
- Every step can be appealed in the app. An appeal is read by a person and the clock is shown to the user.
4. Personal conflict is not a penalty case
Dislike, criticism or falling-out between users is handled with blocking and unfollowing, not with account penalties. Reports are assessed against the rules above, not against report volume, so brigading cannot punish a creator.
