Terms of Service

Updated 20 September 2026

The agreement between you and Zumi for using the app.

1. Who we are

Zumi is a short-video social platform operated at zuma.social by the company named in the app's contact page ("Zumi", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account, to buy Zumi Coins, to send gifts or to receive creator earnings. You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. One person may not operate accounts to evade enforcement decisions.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You grant Zumi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, and distribute your content inside the app for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you post, including music and footage.

4. Coins, gifts and earnings

Zumi Coins are a prepaid digital credit used only inside the app. Coins are not money, not a stored-value or e-money instrument, not transferable between users, and cannot be redeemed for cash by the buyer. Creators who receive gifts accrue earnings that may be withdrawn subject to the Withdrawal and Payout Policy, including identity verification. Full terms are in the Gifting, Coins and Payments Policy.

5. Enforcement and appeals

We may reduce distribution, restrict features, suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, the Community Guidelines or the law. Enforcement is graded and, other than for illegal content, reversible. Every decision may be appealed and is reviewed by a person, with a review clock visible to you.

6. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. On deletion we remove your content and personal data in line with the Privacy Policy, except records we must keep for legal, tax, fraud-prevention and payment-dispute purposes. Verified earnings already accrued remain payable to you once identity verification is complete.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud.

8. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without displacing consumer protections available to you locally. Questions: support@zuma.social. Payment disputes: disputes@zuma.social.
